The Start of My Christmas Vacation
Saturday, December 20 was the start of my vacation. Instead of slumping and being a couch-potato, i chose to do other things.
The day before that i was told that there is a "feeding program" that's gonna happen on the Saturday. So, i was so excited to join the program. I know where we will go, but i don't know what will be my role, what i'll bring, who will be with me, and for what organization. Plain and simple, i was told, "it's a secret".
Oh well, Saturday, i woke up early. Before we departed, we took time to know the people who were with us. Then a little information about what we will do and who is behind the program. And lastly, knowing our roles. On the spot, i was tasked to be the photographer to document what we did. ( Unfortunately, i was given another camera. Official trip camera. That's why i don't have pics to attach here. =) )
Anyway, the place where we went has an altitude of more than 650-meters above sea level. A place where a lot of houses have no electricity and a lot of children are malnourished. Our ride was a rugged-old jeepney, that trekked on very, very rough road.
It was worth to share my time to the people and children out there. I'm so happy i did took a break with them, sharing what i only have that time; my time, my energy, my talent and my heart. Even though i was enveloped with dust from the road when i got home, yet i felt no pain and weariness. I was so glad i started my Christmas vacation that way. Knowing that i'm just so blessed to be living here compared to them. Imagining their faces when they first saw us, a happy face. I'm just so glad to share what I have been blessed with. To God be the glory!
